One of today's top podcasts at the iTunes store is "This American Life," a program I don't like to go a week without. If you download it next week, you can pick up this week's trio of touching stories of one father, two mothers and their passings. The title or theme for this week is "How to Rest in Peace."

Warning about the second of the trio: It's very graphic; there's an unlikely "Sopranos" connection in it. The third story is far more gentle. If you catch this blog before 1 p.m. Saturday you can hear it on WUOM 89.1 FM. Michigan Radio. As a P.S., "This American Life" is usually a lighter, even more humorous look at the quirky realities of ordinary American lives. Less heavy than today's stories.
